What is Etching, Engraving and Laser Cutting?
Both etching and engraving are traditional art forms that require specific techniques, resulting in a range of textures and intricate details that are difficult to achieve in other mediums.
At SYS Custom Etching and Engraving, LLC, we use a laser etching/engraving machine to burn desired visuals (think logos, initials, sayings, pictures and more!) onto a surface, including wood, ceramic, slate, glass, stone, leather, plastic and metal.
We use the same machine to cut through wood, acrylic and leather to create anything from custom ornaments to our 3D artwork.
The outcome is a truly personalized piece that will last for years to come.

Do I have to provide the product to be etched/engraved?It depends! If you have specific items you’d like etched or engraved, we are happy to work with you. We also source high-quality tumblers, coasters, charcuterie and cutting boards, and materials such as wood, glass, slate, stone, leather and metal for you to choose from.

I don’t see the product I want etched/engraved on your site. Do you offer other options?Yes! Our custom process means we can etch/engrave almost anything. Our website is meant to be a sampling of common orders and options. Contact us to talk about your vision. We also frequent local art shows throughout the year (follow us on Facebook to see where we'll be) and have products directly available for purchase at Michigan Makers Marketplace in Brighton, Michigan.

What is project turnaround time?Custom projects are completed in 2-3 weeks. We will keep in touch throughout the process!

Are there different colors available?Yes! We offer custom colors for many of our works.

Do you ship throughout the country?Yes! We’re located in southeast Michigan and able to ship throughout the U.S. Shipping costs are based on product weight and package size. Your products can be shipped to us at our shop: Sky Arms, 42000 Koppernick Rd A-3, Canton, MI 48187. Contact us to discuss shipping of firearms.

Will I get a proof before my project is completed?Yes. Proofs are always provided for review and approval before any work begins.

What is the cost?Because every project is unique, pricing is provided upon delivery of the quote. Ready-to-order products have pricing listed. All orders require a 50% deposit for work to begin. Remaining balance is due prior to shipment.

What if my order arrives damaged?While rare, due to the nature of the products involved, breakage during shipping may occur. All custom orders are shipped with insurance. If you receive a damaged product, please contact us within five days of shipment receipt with a photo of the damaged packaging and/or product. SYS Custom Etching and Engraving, LLC is not responsible for damage caused when a product is shipped to us.

Is there a return policy?Purchased items are not returnable unless received damaged.
